Mom and cub are startled by booming exhales of mother and baby humpback whales.

The bears are feeding on barnacles and other intertidal tidbits. The whales are feeding on small fish just offshore.

Alaska is all about plenty of habitat for raising children.

The fewer human babies we have, the less we usurp habitat from other species that share our planet.
